MESSAGE FROM OUR TEEN PRESIDENT
Hi Morris County Teens!
My name is Tomi Webber and I am your Teen President for the 2020-2021 program year.
I’m currently a senior at Morristown High School where I hold multiple leadership positions within clubs as well as on the varsity track team. Despite the challenges we face during these unprecedented times, I am extremely enthusiastic about this Jack and Jill program year and confident in our ability to overcome any obstacles. My goal for this year is to “get closer while remaining distant.”
Over the past few years, the teen group has worked on developing strong bonds among our members that extend beyond our meetings and activities. This year, we’re going to continue this work through various initiatives including the Big Sibs program, Jack Nights, and Jill Nights. A well-bonded teen group brings about increased cohesion and collaboration, which will be vital for Teen Conference planning. This year’s Teen Conference theme is, “We Are The Movement You Fear.” Unlike last year, the conference will take place in March, so we will need to work diligently and quickly to design our display, banner, apparel, and scrapbook.
While we have lots of hard work ahead of us, we won’t forget to have fun too! Through our monthly activities, Big Sibs challenges, and social media “takeovers,” we will be sure to balance our work with loads of fun. I hope you’re all as excited about this program year as I am! I can’t wait to see the amazing things we’ll achieve together.
